Live updates & transactions
Update row-backed charts without recreating the controller. This feature belongs to @revolist/charts and can be used without Pivot or a grid.
Try it live
Section titled “Try it live”Choose Update first row to increase January revenue by 30; restore it with the same button. The controller commits a validated row transaction and keeps the other rows.
This is an explicit user-triggered update. Applications can call the same API from their own event or streaming transport.

Inspect live chart state
The chart uses the native Charts renderer. Buttons outside the plot are example application controls calling the public API.
Complete chart setup with sample data
Install Charts using the installation guide, then run this setup after the host mounts. The data is illustrative. Additional actions for this tool are explained below.
<div id="chart" style="width:100%;height:500px"></div>import { createChartFactory } from '@revolist/charts/core';import { lineChart } from '@revolist/charts/line';import { groupedColumnChart } from '@revolist/charts/grouped-column';import { columnLineChart } from '@revolist/charts/column-line';

// When the host unmounts:// chart.destroy();API and configuration
Section titled “API and configuration”await chart.applyTransaction({ update: [{ date: Date.UTC(2026, 0, 1), month: 'Jan', revenue: 95, costs: 45,}] });// add, remove and addIndex are also supported.const stop = chart.subscribe(model => console.log(model.dataset.revision));// Later: stop();Support and behavior
Section titled “Support and behavior”Transactions require row-backed mode with a category mapping. Updated keys must identify existing rows; add/remove keys must obey uniqueness rules. Dataset-only and async-source charts reject row transactions. update({ data }) replaces the row set using the current mapping; invalid updates retain the previous successful frame.
State and cleanup
Section titled “State and cleanup”Authored settings are available through chart.model. Updates replace whole settings objects: spread fields you want to retain, and await the returned promise before reading state or exporting. Destroy the controller when its host unmounts.
