Chart tools

The standalone Charts package owns rendering, drawing, navigation, interaction, exports and the shared runtime APIs. Every tool below has its own guide with a live example, public configuration, support boundaries and cleanup rules.

The dedicated Analysis guide explains moving averages, regression and confidence bands, forecasts and prediction intervals, calendar comparisons, calculated references, Pareto, facets, bullet bands and grouped distributions. It includes shared APIs and Pivot integration. For source facts behind a mark, see Underlying records.

LocalizationData and configuration

The native drawing toolbar, navigation controls, range selector, legend and hover tools work directly in Charts. Example buttons for downloads, styling and linking call public controller APIs; applications own those buttons.

Pivot adds the chart gallery/editor, query configuration, drill-down, grid-filter synchronization, data-view integration and discovery of open Pivot charts in its Link charts dropdown. The shared linking API works independently of that Pivot UI. See Pivot Charts for the grid-specific workflow.

Tools are shared across the library, but support varies by chart type and renderer. Use getChartDefinition(type) from @revolist/charts/catalog for native type capabilities, including navigation, annotations, appearance, interactionModes and xScales. Read chart.capabilities for backend-level support and download formats. A Cartesian tool is not automatically available on polar, hierarchy or geographic charts.

Start with Installation and Data & Configuration for mounting, mapping data, updates and lifecycle. Browse the chart type guides for type-specific data contracts and options.
