Server-Side Pivot

Use server-side Pivot when the backend owns analytical calculation and the browser receives only the requested row/column window. The browser still owns the grid and interactions.

  1. Start with server-side setup.
  2. Choose an adapter or remote store.
  3. Read PivotLoadRequest and response fields.
  4. Add pagination if users need row page controls.
  5. Tune browser caching and freshness using the live examples.

aggregationSemantics: 'server' records that the report must keep using backend aggregation; the engine configuration selects the backend. A pin does not make local/server aggregation rules identical.

For a custom SQL/OLAP service, continue with backend translation and backend validation. For drill/member tools and complete exports, use remote tools and complete export.
